- How did Compeer make things different for you?
- Once or twice a month I meet my buddy, so we share time together. We go for a walk. We, uh, play some cards, we go just for a drink. So to me it's also beneficial because I also have a friend around me and, uh, yeah, uh, uh, I like to spend time together with my Buddy, it doesn't matter to me if he has a mental health problem or not. We made close friends and we like to spend time together with each other.
- What was your life like before you were involved with Compeer?
- So back in Switzerland, I did a lot of social activity. I got memberships in many, many clubs. So I really always liked to spend, spending my time together with people. And, uh, yeah, I was missing it a little bit over here in Buffalo because, uh, yeah, again, I, I didn't have, uh, I don't have much friends around me. So through the Coa organization, I'm part of a community. And uh I, I like to have people around me, so even for me, the computer is a huge benefit.
- What is your life like now that you are involved with Compeer?
- Since I'm involved with Compi, I feel a little bit better because even for me as a volunteer, I can give somebody something from my life. So I'm, I'm a really happy person. I have a wonderful life and I'm in a good mental health condition. But unfortunately, there are people around, they, they are not that strong and they are looking for somebody to meet to just uh spend time with, with somebody else or somebody who gives them a push to do something, to go out. Outside to get some fresh air or whatever. So to me it's, uh, I'm really happy that I applied for Co computer that I can give something from my life to somebody else who actually needs a little bit more than I do.
- Why has Compeer made things different for you?
- Compare didn't make many things different for me because for me, I don't make a difference between people who have, uh, mental health problem or people who I would say, feel a little bit stronger or whatever. So, for me, it's, uh, just interesting to, to Meat People all kind and especially people with mental health problems, uh, but I don't see any issue with those people. So finally, we are all special. We are all a little bit different. And, uh, yeah, I, I like to spend time with my body and I don't care if there is a mental health problem or not.
- What do you think it is about Compeer that has made this difference in your life?
- So Compire actually didn't make a huge difference in my life, but I'm happy to be part of Compare, uh, because I learned more about people who actually have a mental health problem. Um, but to me it's, uh, I'm happy to be part of a community of an organization, I would say. And so yeah, I, I like to spend time together with all these people. It doesn't matter to me if there is a health problem, problem or not.
- How has Compeer changed your life?
- For me as a volunteer, Coe changed a little bit of my life, I would say. Uh, so actually, I'm super happy. I met a, a friend, I met my buddy, and, uh, yeah, I, I have, uh, now somebody around me over here in Buffalo, uh, who actually I can share some time together with. I also can meet this person. And, uh, yeah, I'm, I'm super happy to have a friend here. Also, I try to do more activities from the Compe program because I also want to meet some more people from Compere. Um, I'm super happy to be part of the Compere organization.
