- What book are you reading for National Book Month?
- I am currently reading "Outlive" by Peter Attia and it is a fabulous book. I love how he explains medicine 3.0. And the things that we should be doing and could be doing to actually not only improve our lifespan but our health span. And I think anyone who's interested in not just living longer but living well longer, should be reading this book. It's phenomenal.
- What book are you reading for National Book Month?
- Hello. So I am reading "Black Fatigue" by Mary-Frances Winters, "How Racism Erodes the Mind, Body, and Spirit". And I like this book a lot. I chose this book because I heard and saw Mary- Frances Winters speak at a conference when I was leading, I led a training at Ohio State University and Mary-Frances was our keynote speaker. And what I love about this is that she's very direct. So if you're somebody who likes to run away from discomfort, this book isn't for you. And at the same time, this book is for you, Mary-Frances Winters explains that this book is for black people and for non-black people. And reason being is it really helps everyone understand how black people have been impacted socially, economically, educationally, medically because of systemic racism. And so if you are someone who is black or non black, which is basically everyone in the whole world, right? And you are instrumental and want to be instrumental in cultural change. This is a great book for you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
- What book are you reading for National Book Month?
- This is the book. I just finished reading, "A Theory of Expanded Love" by Caitlin Hicks. It's the story of a young girl brought up in the late 1960s in a very large, 13 child, Catholic, strict Catholic family. And, oh my gosh. I just want to hug little Annie. I'm excited that I'm going to begin reading next, the sequel called "Kennedy Girl". Loving it! It's for everybody.

- So what am I currently reading, for National Book Month, which is this month, October. I am reading "The Four Seasons of R&B Music", rhythm and blues music by my friend Tyrone DuBose, who is a TV personality, radio personality, a rhythm and blues historian. Has been on many, many TV shows and has a few radio shows as well centered around rhythm and blues music. And the history behind it, the artist, the songs and so on and so forth. But he did write a book, a very, very good book and I'm actually rereading this book, this month. And so anyone who is a rhythm and blues, soul music enthusiast, lover, doesn't matter where you are in the world, I would urge all of you to read this book for this month. And so that's what I'm reading currently.
- What book are you reading for National Book Month?
- Hello, my name is Orly Zeewy and I am the author of the book "Ready, Launch, Brand: The Lean Marketing Guide for Startups". This book was written specifically for startup founders to help them avoid some of the mistakes, marketing mistakes that so many make. And each chapter actually includes an exercise that is related to the topic in the chapter. For the book, I interviewed 25 founders and highlighted stories from eight. My favorite quote comes from Nick Bear who is the founder of Saxby and it's in the chapter on Brand Identity. And what he wrote, which I again, one of my, my favorite quote is riding on the importance of brand identity. He said "I realized that we needed to change the heart of our brand. So we gave ourselves a heart transplant." My favorite piece of advice comes from Seth Godin who says "In a crowded marketplace, fitting in is a failure. In a busy marketplace, not standing out is the same as Since October is National Book Month. I wanted to recommend a book that I just finished called "Also a Poet" by Ada Calhoun. The book is really, at its core, it's really about her relationship with her very famous father who is a celebrated art critic. He had been writing a book of his own on the life of the poet Frank O'Hara. But the book was never published. And the author found those transcripts and has weaved them into her own story about her relationship with her dad. in family dynamics and uh and of course, a fan of poetry um should read it. Um I would, I highly recommend it. Thank you so much for listening and I hope that you'll check out my book ready launch brand, the Lean Marketing Guide for start ups. Thank you.
