• Hi, I'm Laurie Straus and I'm on the clinical and Scientific Affairs team at the Clark's Company. In my role, I support our innovation and R and D efforts and I am excited to help introduce our new and improved line of Clark's Pro Pine Sol, Multis Cleaners.
• What is your product?
• Our product is a new and improved line of four Clarks pro Pine sol, multi surface cleaners. This new line offers the commercial cleaning industry, the same versatile multipurpose cleaners that power through tough grease, grime and dirt. But now with sustainability improvements that maximize the effectiveness of every drop. Specifically, each product is twice as concentrated bottle sizes are reduced by over 40% from 100 and 44 ounces to 80 ounces. They are formulated with citric acid an ingredient on the EPA s safer chemical ingredients list original pines. So multi surface cleaner now disinfects both in concentrated and diluted forms. And the three non disinfecting cleaners include modernized scents and offer a whopping five times more cleaning power than the current formulas.
• What makes your product innovative?
• Pine. So multi surface cleaners have been a trusted cleaning staple in both consumers' homes and commercial spaces for nearly a century. While it is no small feat to enhance and innovate on a product that people already love. The time had come for our products to evolve, to meet the ever changing needs of our industry and align with our sustainability goals. Taking up this challenge, we reformulated and redesigned our pine. So multi surface cleaners, not only to deliver more cleaning power per bottle, but also generate significantly less waste than before. This is a win for our frontline cleaners, cleaning managers and supervisors, business owners and our planet.
• Does your innovative product entry have any unique sustainable elements?
• Yes. The Clark's company has set forth an ambitious set of environmental, social and governments or ESG goals with our strategic business choices and the Clara Pro Pine. So multi service cleaners innovation is helping us meet our targets. Specifically the new and improved Clarks, Pro Pine sol, multi service cleaners require less plastic to produce the smaller bottles mean a 40% reduction in plastic, they are manufactured in a zero waste to landfill facility. The bottles are made with 50% post consumer, recycled plastic and the formulas are twice as concentrated. So we are shipping a lot less water around the country.
• Quantify the environmental impact benefit of your product in the marketplace.
• A smaller bottle size means 40% less plastic is needed to make each bottle. This compaction reduces the total environmental impact of our pine. So products by 20% and equates to 85,000 less greenhouse gas emissions. 8.3 billion less gallons of water transported 1600 mega joules less fossil fuels consumed and £18.8 million less plastic used .
• What training is in place to protect the health and safety of the worker using this product and/or service?
• Clark's professional offers a variety of high quality and free education and training opportunities for both frontline cleaners and cleaning managers and supervisors for Frontline cleaners. We have our anti national accreditation board accredited Healthy Clean Trained Specialist course that teaches frontline cleaners what they need to know about how to use products effectively, efficiently and safely for managers and supervisors. We have an Anti National accreditation board accredited healthy clean trained manager course coming soon.
