- How did Compeer make things different for you?
- Hi, my name's Joe Carrubi. Um, the cottona program has done for me is, uh, wow. Um, They got me through COVID. They did all sorts of amazing things to. Not in person, of course. They did drive by um pantry runs when people couldn't get delivered groceries. Uh, I've had problems here with getting things fixed or something. They have gone above and beyond to reach out to the other organizations they deal with. To find out who and what they could do to help, which believe me, they have done. Um, if you need an emergency type thing, you call them and they do their best to see what they can do to help you out. Um We've gone on, you know, trips, group trips, so you do get some socialization. And believe it or not, even when you just get taken out one trip a month, it's For somebody that can't get out, yeah, it's. That's freedom. That's, you know, a little bit of You're taking care of yourself. You get to go shopping, um. Uh, the, the, uh, fortunately, most, I think 999.9% of them have been some of the nicest, sweetest, caring people. Um I guess most of them it's more than just a job. They like what they're doing. Um, it shows. Um If you have a rough time, give them a call and they, they, they find something, some way of helping you. They listen. Um, like I said, during COVID, they came up with Zoom meetings. Uh, extra mailings, extra phone calls, um. I've yet to see them not go above and beyond. On anything And in this day and age, any group, any group going above and beyond. It That's amazing.
